Our History & Background

Booth Extrusions Ltd was incorporated out of the vision of its founders who were committed to bringing metal forming technology to the African Continent. Booth Extrusions' Factory is located at Thika, about 50 km away from Nairobi. Thika is a well known as the Industrial town and is today among the fastest growing towns in Kenya.

After Independence, the economic growth of Kenya was rapid and there was a huge opportunity for the development in the building industry. Initially the use of Aluminium in the building industries was new to this country but the architects, Engineers and builders soon came to know the enormous benefits of Aluminium Profiles in the building industry.

This awareness created a great demand for the Aluminium architectural profiles in the market. Aluminium sections were imported during those days which was a very expensive proposition for the builders and customers.

The company started its operations in 1976 with an Extrusion Press to cater to the growing demand of Aluminium Extrusions in the East, South and Central African region. Booth Extrusions Ltd has grown consistently by expanding into new markets with existing and new products. The Company has been pioneer in the East African region for curtain walling and structural glazing. The factory expanded its operations with Foundry, Anodizing and Powder Coating facilities.
